Ballinger Elementary Assistant Principal
Hello! My name is Dawn Huckabee and I am the Assistant Principal for Ballinger Elementary School. I truly believe we have the best staff and students in Texas! Helping to grow our students into Safe, Respectful, and Responsible citizens brings me joy every day!
My journey into education began in 2009. During this journey I was fortunate enough to teach Art, Theater, Speech, Journalism, Yearbook, Gifted and Talented, and most recently 4th grade Reading Language Arts. Teaching students as young as Pre-K to Seniors has given me the ability to know students when students need a hug or a time out.
I have 2 grown sons, 2 grand dogs, and a spoiled cat. Ballinger is now my home and I can't see myself living anywhere else!
I believe in our school, staff, and community! I am excited to be your Assistant Principal and be a part of the growing and learning process of our Bearkittens!
