My name is Melissa Faubion. I graduated from Texas Tech University with a major in Home Economics Education, and worked for the A&M Extension Service for 2 years. I came back to my home town of Ballinger and married Cliff Faubion. After returning, I went back to school and received my degree in Elementary Ed and taught 4th grade for 2 years. I stayed home with my 3 children for several years, and returned in 1997 to teach Pre-K. That’s right- I have been teaching Pre-K for 22 years! My 3 children are grown now, and I have 2 grandchildren, who I love to spend time with.
I enjoy working with these “little people”! They have such great imaginations and are so open and eager to learn new things. We will work on social, emotional, physical, and academic skills, all year. These children are on all different levels of maturity and ability, so we will navigate this year at many different speeds. My goal is to provide a great first year experience for my students, and to prepare them for a successful educational journey.
“If you can make the difference in the life of one child, it is all worth it.”
